First things to do on a new PC or Laptop

Just like anyone when you got a new laptop or new PC you are happy.

To keep the hapiness for years here are the thing you need to do

Drivers
If you just bought a PC or laptop the first thing to do is to get the drivers.
Copy the drivers in a Pen-drive or CD in order to install the drivers

Software
Once the drivers installed update your software

1. Protect your OS.
For this you need to launch your windows update

2. Protect yourself against Virus 
I recommend Eset Nod 32 antivirus. I have been using it for years without any issues till today.

Infotech 2012 [Mauritius]

Le salon se ressemble trop d’année en année.

On veut voir plus d'innovations au Salon de l'Infotech.

Chaque année on voit que des nouveaux ordinateurs, des nouveaux téléphones mobiles et rien de plus.

Il faut changer cela, il faut crée des compétions pour que les jeunes aussi bien que ceux qui travail songe sur des problèmes de société et en utilisant l’informatique proposé des solutions.

Le gagnant de cette compétition doit être récompensé afin d’encourager les gens a participer. Ainsi le gagnant sera récompensé au Salon et pourra montrer au gens ce qu’ils ont pu faire. On sait jamais ce qu’on peut voir d’innovant en faisant cela tout en les encourageant avec une récompense.

Le salon permettra a ces jeunes de montrer ce qu’ils en sont capable. Cela ne doit pas se limiter qu’à l’informatique mais doit se propager dans d’autres univers tels que l’électronique, télécommunications, 


Le salon se deroulera du 13 au 16 septembre

[Phone] I tried the craziest of thing today...

Well i have been browsing Nokia site (www.nokia.com) to find some software .
In fact have installed the PC suite and each time a balloon shows "Nokia Software Update available...".
Have click on that numerous times.It took me to a site where i was asked to download a "Device Software Update"
Have done it before also but cancelled the installation that was provided from the site http://europe.nokia.com/A4579163

Today,however decided to try what that was for (Coz ya i did not know what was the update for)

So i click on the "Download" button and after some time it finished downloading the setup ......I run the program and the "Nokia Software Updater" was installed.


Obviously,i need to use it,so ran it and after checking my phone versin and so on it told me that there is an update my phone software ....


and ya it told me to backup everything and i had to accept that all the contents on the PHONE memory will be deleted(ya had to tick the button).

So...as it told me i had to make a backup...
Well after making a backup and swapping all my sms and contacts to memory,i removed it.
So i put my phone on charge coz the software message said that the cable should not be disconnected and not to switch off else "PERMANENT DAMAGE MAY OCCUR"...see belowYa was also told to have the mobile completely charged,so that it does not switch off during the update process...

Well i ran the update process where it had to download the software for the update process...


Then it started installing the new software version...or should i say Updating...

And ya obviously something wrong had to happen ..in fact what i feared ya..."The connection was lost"...and thought the mobile was gone...
Hopefully the "Retry" button was there and ouuufff!! it continued the installation (Great job Nokia :)
...and the installation was successful

and after setting the time and date....
i check the version by keying the following codes "*#0000#" without the quotes and ya it did correctly update...

So try do do that if this is tempting but it was more trilling when the connection was lost !!!
